Management Team

Richard Ambrose, President

Richard has over 30 years experience in national group purchasing plus senior management assignments in distribution companies. He has held corporate officer positions in two publicly traded companies (Hospital Affiliates International and Tenet Healthcare Corp) as Senior Vice President of Materials Management. His reputation and expertise in researching, identifying and negotiating deep discount programs with suppliers of products / services throughout the United States is well established. He was a pioneer in implementing the concept of group purchasing in the healthcare industry and is considered one of the leading experts in the field.

Gary Gustafson, Vice President

Throughout a 35 year career in Healthcare, Gary was a leader in sales for divisions of American Hospital Supply Corporation, Warner Lambert and Union Carbide. He also has over 15 years of experience in sales management and national account management. As a National Accounts Manager for Stryker Corporation, Gary has personally written contracts with group purchasing organizations such as MedAssets, Novation, AmeriNet, InSource Health Systems, Catholic Healthcare West, Intermountain Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente and more. He has contracts with all national healthcare organizations and he has over 15 years experience working with national groups in general.

Dan Ambrose, Managing Partner

Dan Ambrose was named Managing Partner of Buybetter, Inc. in 2007. In this role he oversees all aspects of day to day operations including sales, marketing, and contract negotiations. Prior to joining Buybetter Dan served as a senior executive at Irwin Union Bank and Trust where he was the top sales associate within the organization his entire tenure. Mr. Ambrose has a 15 year background in sales and finance and a strong background in marketing. He has added a new vision of where the company needs to grow with an emphasis on savings to our members and a focus on the environmental needs of the future.
